  • Carry out simple setting out and check levels and alignment
  • Shape and trim materials to meet design specifications
  • Work outdoors as part of a site team, liaising with other trades
  • Follow health, safety, quality and sustainability standards
  • High industry demand with opportunities to specialise and progress
  • Lay bricks and blocks to a good standard.
  • Set out areas using drawings and levels
  • Mix mortar and keep materials organised
  • Use hand tools safely
  • Check lines and levels as you build
  • Work closely with the rest of the teams
  • Follow all health, safety and sustainability rules

Your training

  • Bricklayer Level 2
  • An apprenticeship includes regular training at the Training Centre
  • At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
