Working alongside the LYCC team, you will help to manage and develop our social media platforms
and website, creating engaging content to promote activities, events, projects and opportunities.
You will also support the team with publicity, communications and networking, helping to raise
LYCC’s profile and strengthen connections with local organisations and the wider community.
The role will provide the opportunity to develop practical skills in social media management,
photography and video, content creation, digital communications, marketing and networking, while
gaining valuable experience in a busy community environment.
Alongside the creative aspects of the role, you will also undertake some light administrative duties,
supporting the wider team with general office tasks, communications and record keeping.
We are looking for someone who is creative, friendly, organised and keen to learn, with an interest
in social media, digital content and working within the community. No previous professional
experience is necessary — enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

About The Litherland Boys Club

Litherland Youth and Community Centre (LYCC) or "The Boysie" as it’s affectionately known has been at the heart of of our community since 1938. Operating through the years as a boys club, youth centre and in 2011 developing into a youth and community centre. 

Our principle aim is to further benefit the residents of Litherland and the wider community of Sefton by bringing together local individuals, the local authorities, voluntary and other sector organisations in a common effort to advance life, opportunities, and futures. Through the provision of recreational, educational and leisure time activities. All provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions and quality of life, develop their skills, capabilities, confidence, and resilience. To provide opportunities into work, education, volunteering, engagement, and training along with promoting health and wellbeing through creating and providing a safe and healthy environment to access support and signposting for all.
