You'll analyse data using SQL and Python, build reports and dashboards that give the business clear, actionable insights, and help ensure our data is accurate and reliable - all within an agile team at the world's leading legal rankings and insights intelligence company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Write clean, testable queries and scripts using SQL and Python to analyse data and enable our customer data products and business applications

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards and notebooks that provide the business with clear, actionable insights

  • Create, optimise and maintain automated reporting and analysis processes across a given project or technical domain

  • Analyse, profile and plan work, aligned with project priorities

  • Perform code reviews, refactoring where necessary, and deploy code in a structured, trackable and safe manner

  • Document your analyses, data definitions and operational procedures

  • Ensure adherence to data and software delivery standards

  • Help monitor, investigate and resolve data quality issues when they occur

  • Present findings and insights clearly to business and technology stakeholders

  • Guide, influence and challenge the technology team and stakeholders on the benefits, pros and cons of different analytical options

  • Contribute to the team's continuous improvement and its ability to deliver on commitments

  • Innovate and experiment with technology to deliver real business benefits, regularly launching products and services based on your work

  • Work within the agile framework at Chambers

Entry Requirements- Essential

As a minimum for this apprenticeship applicants will need to have:

  • A Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)

OR

  • Equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)

PLUS:

  • 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above 
  • Experience with using Excel (in particular pivot tables and XLookup) and Microsoft products (or similar)

Other requirements - Desirable 

  • Experience or interest in media, publishing, research or a similar consumer-focused industry
