  • Help plan and organise Tendring4Growth events including collating and presenting information to the team i.e. award nominations, marketing, booking venues and organising online tickets
  • Collate and present information on grants ready for agreement and sign off maintaining TDC’s privacy and GDPR standards
  • Procurement and operational administration tasks
  • Deal with routine enquiries and signpost business to our support service
  • E Bulletins for businesses
  • Mileage and subsistence
  • Minute taking at various meetings

This role is within a high-pressured environment so the applicant should be able to work productively under pressure. They should have a positive outlook to work and be able to handle criticism well and learn from it.

Your training

Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3.

The Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3 combines the knowledge, skills and behaviours required of the standard and includes Functional Skills in maths and English if required. 

Delivery will be in the workplace with an assessor or coach through a combination of assessing, coaching, training and mentoring.

The minimum duration on the apprenticeship is 12-18 months, with an additional 3 months for an externally assessed end point assessment. A maximum total of 21 months plus functional skills if required. Prior learning and experience will also be taken into consideration.

There are many opportunities for progression within Tendring District Council - many apprentices stay within the department they undertake their apprenticeship with others apply for positions and work in other departments. Many apprentices also progress onto a higher apprenticeship.

Other towns are Brightlingsea, Harwich, Frinton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze along with a number of rural areas.
