  • Contacting clients via telephone and written correspondence to pursue overdue payments in a professional and courteous manner. 
  • Analysing account data to identify delinquent accounts and prioritise collection efforts accordingly. 
  • Maintaining accurate records of all communication and payment arrangements using specialised accounting software.  
  • Negotiating repayment plans with clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. 
  • Collaborating with internal departments such as accounts payable and customer service to resolve account discrepancies.  
  • Performing data entry tasks related to account updates, payment histories, and client information.  
  • Conducting analysis of accounts receivable trends to recommend process improvements.  
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations regarding debt collection practices, including phone etiquette standards. 
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.  

Your training

You'll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month - NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including the organisation, stakeholders, relevant regulation, business fundamentals, processes & external factors.  
 
You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer.
