You will learn how to prepare floors and install a range of flooring products, including vinyl, LVT, safety flooring, carpet and screeds, across commercial, healthcare and other environments.

Daily tasks:

  • Taking up existing flooring
  • Disposing of existing flooring
  • Cleaning/brushing the floor to prepare it for preparation products
  • Mixing floor preparation products
  • Applying floor preparation products
  • Installing new flooring products
  • Cleaning/clearing work area

Your training

Training will take place at work three weeks of a month and at college for a period of 4/5 consecutive days once a month. The college will be located in either Loughborough or Saint Helen's, must be willing to travel to either location. Travel and/or accommodation will be funded by the Company.

A.G. Flooring Ltd specializes in the installation of contract floor coverings delivering mainly to local Health Authorities, local Councils, Education sectors, Care Homes, Retail sectors and local Businesses. Supplying and installing all types of contract floor coverings such as commercial vinyl/vinyl tiles, floor preparation works, contract carpets/carpet tiles, Entrance Matting, and bespoke works for clean/wet rooms.
