  • Assist experienced groundworkers on site.
  • Prepare and clear work areas.
  • Dig trenches and foundations.
  • Lay kerbs, paving and drainage.
  • Load, unload and move materials and tools.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely.
  • Follow health and safety procedures.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Learn practical groundworks skills while completing your apprenticeship qualification.

Your training

Training will take place at Wigan and Leigh College in block release, 1 week in every 6 weeks.
