Daily duties include but not limited to:

  • Assisting stylists with day-to-day tasks such as colours, foils, washing and blow-drying.
  • Ensuring that the salon is in a good state and products and equipment are well stocked and in good order.
  • Working as part of a friendly team.
  • Taking responsibility for good time management.
  • Using your own initiative under the guidance of stylists.
  • Ensuring the needs of clients are met, and they receive the best possible care and treatment whilst visiting the salon.

Your training

You will be working towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Hairdressing, including Functional Skills if required. 

This apprenticeship consists of a mixture of off-the-job training and on-the-job mentoring and development within the workplace.

You will be expected to attend Cornwall College Camborne or St Austell on a weekly basis, with additional attendance if functional skills are required.

Where it leads

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be an offer for a permanent position for the right candidate with opportunities for progression.

We are a genuinely friendly team with a range of different skills sets and interests. We constantly update the training of our staff and attend days and trips.

Things to consider

Grade 4/C in English and Maths preferred, but lower grades will be considered for the right candidate if willing to attend functional skills block weeks to work towards a Level 2 qualification. You must have the ability to travel to Truro and to college one day per week.
