Key Responsibilities:

Client Care & Salon Support:

  • Greet clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist with coats, refreshments, and seating clients comfortably
  • Maintain a welcoming salon atmosphere at all times

Technical Support (under supervision):

  • Shampooing, conditioning, and applying treatments
  • Preparing clients for cutting, colouring, and styling services
  • Mixing colour formulas accurately following instructions
  • Assisting stylists during blow-drying and finishing services
  • Learning correct sectioning, product application, and tool handling techniques

Salon Maintenance & Standards:

  • Ensure all workstations remain clean, tidy, and hygienic throughout the day
  • Manage laundry, including washing, drying, and organising towels and gowns
  • Restock retail displays and backbar products
  • Follow strict health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times

Your training

  • Hairdressing Professional Level 2
  • Training with Milton Keynes College
  • Ongoing training, support and development with the employer

Where it leads

  • A permanent position may be on offer upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
