Responsibilities:

Working predominantly from our office in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, you will be supporting FORTIFIED’s clients both remotely, (via phone, email and remote tools) and on-site, where required, liaising with 3rd-parties as necessary.

During a robust onboarding process, you’ll be trained in the use of many tools, techniques, and procedures you’ll use to manage ‘incidents’ and fulfil ‘requests’ which are submitted to the service desk via email, phone, or other channels. ‘Tickets’ are either generated automatically or must be created manually using the service desk software.

Tickets are used both to record all relevant data, from the analysis of outputs from monitoring and reporting platforms and information supplied by customer end-users, and to communicate with the customer during diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
The role also involves responding to potential cybersecurity incidents, under the guidance and direction of the Service Desk Manager and/or other more senior staff.

The product of our efforts may form the basis of additional recommendations made to the customer to help avoid repeat incidents.
Customer communication will occur predominantly via the service desk platform, but also by phone and other approved channels. However, once sufficiently trained, you will also provide support at client-sites where required.

There may also be opportunities to get involved in the implementation of the technologies you will support by assisting the Technical Solutions Lead in their efforts to deploy services and onboard new customers etc.

Your training

  • ICT (Information Communications Technician) Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT apprenticeship team to increase your skills
  • Your training will include gaining a Level 3 IT qualification. Training schedule has yet to be agreed
