You will be trained in all aspect of horticulture, to include:
- Look after parks, open spaces and sports facilities
- Plant and care for flowers, trees and shrubs
- Mow grass and prune plants and trees
- Help with wildlife and nature projects
- Use gardening tools and machinery safely
- To work as part of a team to care for community open space facilities
In addition to the tasks above you will be required to assist with litter picking and general maintenance duties.
You will also be required, with training, PPE and supervision to operate a variety of machinery to undertake these tasks.
Your training
Training will take place in the workplace and day release attendance to Sparsholt College.
Where it leads
You may be offered a full time position once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship.
