Apply on the official government service →No Apprentice League account needed — we never gate applications.

The role will be primarily based in our saleroom and out in our removal van visiting customer's houses.

It will involve moving furniture, packing boxes of fragile goods, keeping our saleroom tidy and organised, helping customers with their purchases, shipping parcels, some basic computer admin, some photography of furniture and paintings and other general auction house related tasks.

The role would suit someone physically fit and able to learn how to carry antique furniture. The ideal candidate would be able to talk to customers confidently, communicate with our small and friendly team, be able to keep organised and manage their time.

The role is quite varied. Some days may involve going to a customer's house to collect items for the auction or to dispose of the remaining contents, others will be based at the saleroom organising what has been collected or laying out the goods ready for an auction.

There is a strong potential for employment after the apprenticeship. We would hope to continue to train the right candidate in how to identify antiques after their apprenticeship has ended.

Your training

  • An apprenticeship includes regular training online with your training organisation
  • At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying

Where it leads

We would hope to continue to train the right candidate in how to identify antiques after their apprenticeship has ended. We would also support the right candidate with future training to progress in other areas.
