- Deliver safe, respectful and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes or supported-living settings.
- Assist with personal care, daily routines, mobility, meal preparation and hydration.
- Provide medication support where appropriately trained, competent and authorised.
- Encourage independence, wel-being and involvement in social and community activities.
- Monitor individuals’ health and wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date and confidential care records.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, policies and procedures.
- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and confidentiality requirements.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, colleagues and other professionals.
- Complete all apprenticeship training, attend scheduled learning sessions and work towards achieving the Adult Care Worker Level 2 apprenticeship.
Your training
All apprenticeship training will be delivered remotely by eTraining. You will take part in scheduled online training sessions and complete apprenticeship activities within the workplace. A full training schedule, including session dates and frequency will be provided once you commence your apprenticeship. You will need access to a laptop or desktop computer and a reliable internet connection.
