  • Works to HSE requirements (LOTO, mould changes) and promotes safety
  • Deploys injection standards and golden rules on production shift
  • Sets the IMI starts and stops the machines and ancillaries, and changes the tool according to production plan and safety rules
  • Supports the injection team in monitoring and documenting machine start up 
  • Eliminates small technical problems
  • Supports the injection team in production monitoring and documentation
  • Collects production data and enters them into appropriate 
  • Contributes to continuous improvement process
  • Ensures cleanliness and tidiness of injection moulding area
  • Ensures reuse of grinding stock
  • Reports any malfunction and defects or hazards to superior forthwith

Your training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.

Where it leads

To develop within the business and progress onto a Level 3 Engineering Manufacturing apprenticeship.
