The successful apprentice will be trained by a skilled Maintenance Engineering in the following duties (but not limited to):
- Planned maintenance; servicing and repairs of all equipment on site
- Reactive breakdown maintenance and repairs of all equipment on site
- To keep repairs and servicing in-line with the Maintenance Management System
- To log breakdowns on the company breakdown log
- To help with the control of critical spares
- Other duties will include, keeping the workspace clean and tidy and other ad-hoc duties where required.
Your training
Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard which includes:
- Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (skills)
- Certificate or Diploma in Engineering Operations (knowledge)
- Functional Skills in maths or English (if required)
- Learning will take place in the workplace with the need to attend training at NSEGTA premises - Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.
Where it leads
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress into full time employment following the completion of the apprenticeship and / or another apprenticeship as agreed with the company.
