  • Carry out planned maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Support engineers with mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Help diagnose faults and identify problems
  • Assist with repairs and replacement of components
  • Use engineering tools and equipment safely
  • Inspect machinery, equipment and components
  • Carry out routine checks and testing
  • Record maintenance work accurately
  • Keep work areas clean, organised and safe
  • Work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical skills

Your training

Training will be delivered by Train’d Up alongside practical, hands-on learning in the workplace. The apprentice will receive regular training and support from their Train’d Up trainer, while developing their skills alongside experienced engineers at Cooks Industrial Doors.

Where it leads

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a Maintenance Engineer or Multiskilled Engineer role. With further experience and training, progression could include Senior Engineer or Engineering Supervisor positions, or specialisms in mechanical, electrical or automation engineering.
