Apprentices will also have the opportunity to develop their skills within a supportive team and progress into a long-term career in the industry.

  • Assist qualified plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
  • Learn to fit bathrooms, kitchens, pipework, and heating systems
  • Help diagnose and fix plumbing issues under supervision
  • Carry out basic testing and inspection of plumbing installations
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, clean work environment
  • Work on-site and in residential/commercial properties
  • Support in ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Accurately record work completed and materials used
  • Attend college training and complete coursework on time
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute positively to the team

Essential Application Criteria: (please state any qualifications, skills, experience, knowledge, and attributes candidates must have to help us filter the right candidates to you):

  • GCSE A*-C/9-4 in maths and English (or equivalent functional skills)
  • MUST LIVE IN TOWER HAMLETS!
  • Candidates must have at least 6-months previous experience

Desirable Application Criteria: (Preferred but not essential qualifications, skills, experience, knowledge):

  • Strong interest in electrical installation
  • Good practical and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic numeracy and attention to detail

Your training

The apprentice will attend Waltham Forest College, located at 707 Forest Road, Walthamstow, London, E17 4JB, as part of their apprenticeship training.

  • 1 day per week at college
  • On-site college-based training
  • The remaining days will be spent working with Spark Tech MEP, gaining practical experience and developing business administration skills in the workplace
  • Training will support the apprentice in building the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship
