  • Provide a friendly and professional first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils,and staff
  • Answer telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately
  • Respond to emails and assist with general correspondence
  • Carry out data entry and maintain accurate school records
  • File, scan, photocopy, and organise documents
  • Support the administration of school attendance and pupil records
  • Assist with arranging meetings and preparing meeting rooms
  • Help produce letters, newsletters, and other school communications
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Support school events and activities where required
  • Ensure confidential information is handled appropriately and in line with GDPR
  • Carry out other administrative duties as requested by the School Business Manager or Office Team

Where it leads

After completing the apprenticeship, I could progress into roles such as Business Administrator, Office Administrator, Team Leader or Executive Assistant, or continue onto a higher-level apprenticeship or qualification.
