Where it leads
On successful completion there is a permanent role available for the right person. Some of our team also move into support work or take further qualifications in leadership and management.
About ELLIA Home Help
Ellia is a Stroud based community support service. We support people to stay independent and comfortable in their own homes through cleaning, decluttering, housekeeping, gardening and companionship. We now support around 65 households across Gloucestershire and are growing steadily, with our team of local support workers at the centre of everything we do. We are a small, close business where everyone's work is visible and everyone's ideas are heard. We believe good support starts with treating people, both clients and staff, as individuals.
Things to consider
This role involves regular travel around Gloucestershire in your own vehicle, so a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile. You must be 18 or over, as the role involves unsupervised contact with vulnerable adults in the community. The role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check, which we arrange and pay for. Some flyer drops and community visits involve walking and carrying materials.
