- Learn how to carry out electrical testing, safe isolation and basic fault-finding.
- Assist with checking electrical components, controls, sensors, motors, contactors and associated wiring.
- Record equipment details, readings, photographs and work completed using the company’s job management system.
- Assist with the installation and replacement of HVAC equipment and associated electrical components.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, materials and company vehicles in a clean and organised condition.
- Communicate professionally with customers, site representatives and other members of the team.
- Attend college or training-centre sessions and complete all coursework, assessments and apprenticeship requirements.
- Follow company procedures and all relevant health and safety, electrical and refrigerant regulations.
- Travel to customer sites and, when required, work away from home with the wider engineering team.
Your training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.

- Eligible to undertake an apprenticeship in England.
