Your training

The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 pathway. On completion the apprentice will receive the Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative Qualification. Functional Skills in maths and English may also be required depending on current level.   

Where it leads

No previous manufacturing experience is required. We are looking for motivated individuals with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. Our intention is that our apprentices will have the opportunity to develop into our future leaders within our Production Centre, potentially becoming Cell Leaders or Supervisors over time.

Things to consider

  • Must have a reliable form of transport to get to the site, and to Yeovil College for training
  • Candidates must be over 18 to work on the shop floor due to health and safety
  • You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. In some cases, you may be required to have a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on. If a suitable candidate is found prior to the advertised closing date, it may close earlier so please apply early to avoid disappointment
