We’re a business to business (B2B), which means our marketing can look quite different from the advertising and social media you see every day as a consumer. Our audiences are other businesses and the people who work in them, so our marketing is about understanding their needs, building trust and showing them how our products and services can help. You’ll get to see what this looks like in practice and learn how different marketing channels work together.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, creative and keen to learn. You don’t need to know everything about marketing already. What matters to us is that you’re willing to have a go, ask questions, bring your ideas, stay organised and take pride in what you do.

You’ll be working with lots of different people, so being friendly, flexible and comfortable working as part of a team is important too. Most importantly, we want someone who is excited to learn, try new things and build their skills along the way.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Create and adapt marketing content for digital and offline channels, including written content, social media and visual assets
  • Support the management of social media and digital marketing activity
  • Carry out market, customer and competitor research to help inform marketing decisions
  • Help maintain marketing materials, digital assets and content
  • Support website and content management activity
  • Monitor marketing activity and help collect and analyse campaign data and results
  • Assist with email marketing and other customer communications
  • Help coordinate marketing projects, deadlines, suppliers and activities
  • Work with colleagues across the business to understand their marketing requirements and develop appropriate communications
  • Contribute creative ideas and new approaches to help improve our marketing activity
  • Develop an understanding of brand guidelines, tone of voice, GDPR, copyright and other relevant marketing requirements
  • Use a range of marketing software and digital tools as part of day-to-day marketing activity

Your training

Day-release training will take place on Fridays at Burnley College.
