Day-to-day duties include:

  • Answering calls
  • Assisting patients with enquiries
  • Booking appointments
  • Updating patient records
  • Processing documents
  • Providing administrative support to help ensure the smooth running of the practice

Where it leads

Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a permanent administrative or reception role within the practice. With further experience and training, career development opportunities may include senior administrative positions, medical secretary roles, or specialist administrative roles within primary care and the NHS.

Things to consider

The role is based at Roundwell Medical Centre and applicants should be able to travel to and from the practice reliably.
