  •  Assist quantity surveyors and senior quantity surveyors with budgeting, cost planning and controlling costs across projects.
  •  Help measure and value completed work and support interim valuations and payment applications.
  •  Support procurement – obtaining and comparing quotes and helping select and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Help administer contracts and keep accurate records that support fair, dispute-free working.
  • Record, control and report income and expenditure, and help prepare cash-flow, cost forecasts and financial reports.
  • Assist with collecting, collating, storing and analysing commercial data, keeping files organised.
  • Apply health & safety and sustainability principles to your commercial work.
  • Build good working relationships with the project team, clients and the supply chain, and contribute to meetings.
  • Work to the industry code of ethics and complete your apprenticeship coursework.

Your training

This apprenticeship is delivered as a weekly day release at the Institute of Technology.
