- Assist quantity surveyors and senior quantity surveyors with budgeting, cost planning and controlling costs across projects.
- Help measure and value completed work and support interim valuations and payment applications.
- Support procurement – obtaining and comparing quotes and helping select and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
- Help administer contracts and keep accurate records that support fair, dispute-free working.
- Record, control and report income and expenditure, and help prepare cash-flow, cost forecasts and financial reports.
- Assist with collecting, collating, storing and analysing commercial data, keeping files organised.
- Apply health & safety and sustainability principles to your commercial work.
- Build good working relationships with the project team, clients and the supply chain, and contribute to meetings.
- Work to the industry code of ethics and complete your apprenticeship coursework.
Your training
This apprenticeship is delivered as a weekly day release at the Institute of Technology.
